Biography
Self-taught artist, born in Sorel, on the 22nd of February 1970,
Quebec, Canada
Lived in Joliette from 2001 to 2013, now living in Prescott, Ontario since November 2013
Has a passion for art since a young age, Nathalie explores various aspects of art and this is how she discovers many techniques.
In 2009 taking lessons to create countertops with concrete and developed her own method to imitate a marble finish, which led her to a passion for abstract art. She always personifies everything she buys; Nathalie, always having the touch of an artist.
During the night of September 3rd, she lost hundreds of artwork in a fire along with everything she had. After the fire she started using a lot of bright colors while painting, especially red. A year and 2 months later, her cat Ouija, who she thought had passed away in the fire, showed up curious to see the new construction in the same location. Ever since she had been painting calm and serenity. This sudden change happened on its own. As if she was finally in peace with herself along with this tragic event. Welcome to her peaceful world!
-September 2012, her paintings were selected for the Toronto Art Expo, and had success during the exhibition in April 2013.
-October 2012, becoming a member of the ‘’coopérative de solidarité artistique’’ of the MRC in Drummond, where a few of her paintings were being exhibited
every month at the gallery AXART.
-November 2012 she becomes a permanent artist at the
gallery ExpressionArt, in Laval.
-Exhibition of small format paintings from December 2012, at the
gallery ExpressionArt, in Laval.
-Collective exhibition on the Cosmos, in the gallery Crystal Racine,
in Montréal, from January to February 2013.
-Returning to ExpressionArt for a trio artist of abstract in March 2013.
-Collective exhibition on ‘’les mondes fantastiques’’, in the gallery Crystal Racine, in Montréal, in August 2013.
-Facin’Art (Brin de Folie) in Acton Vale, August 2013.
-Member artist at LinArt gallery in 2014, Gatineau, Qc
-Member artist at ArtScene since 2014, Spencerville, ON
-Member artist in 2015 at both Main d’Art gallery, Vieux Québec
and
Galerie Z, Montréal, Qc
-Her art piece ‘’Meditation’’ was one of the 15 artworks selected from 1525 others for the Newad contest in 2016
She was selected by the jury of InCo Artists (International Contemporary Artists) to be a part of the 12th volume in 2017
